Welcome to the new semester. I look forward to meeting all of you, and believe we will have a great time in the class.
You should have by now received information from the university about the courses in which you are enrolled, your textbooks, and your teachers. Please buy the textbooks and familiarize yourself with their contents. This will help you to understand your course, what it entails, and how we will proceed as we get going.
On your first day, I will explain to you the course outline, the pace of study, class rules and behavior, and what is expected of you. After this, we will make a presentation about ourselves, i.e., self-introduction in about 2 - 3 minutes. You will be expected to introduce yourself, your hobbies, interests, participation in sports, etc., and what your goals are as a student of this university.
